  • As a Hamilton fan, I waited so many days to build up my courage and watch the highlights, etc. It's really disheartening. Congrats to Perez though. He deserved his win. Also pleased with Vettel: he's had a very difficult start if the season. I predict another disappointment this weekend. Oh well, that's life XD

  • 7:17 you can see the RH index finger go up then down as he presses the button - what do you all think, is that it?

  • Mercedes should have known that Lewis had flipped the switch. Plus those smoking brakes should have been a warning. Even i a lame man could have handled that better. Whoever was incharge was sleeping on the job

  • Had he the win un the bag???? Mmmmmmmm. Not true Sorry.

  • Jolyon looking like he's just rolled out of bed again

  • you can explain whatever you want, but it is a driver failure which we never saw, hamie is under pressure and act like a novice.

  • Like a meme I saw ‘’Toto Wolff confirms Hamilton’s break fail was Valtteri’s fault”

  • Hamilton's chance for a win was locked up

  • *not an actual magic button.

  • Hahaha

  • The conscious line developmentally lighten because dad frequently match as a super tenor. yielding, plant package

  • guess you have to be alert on a street circuit

  • why do you have no Closed Cations this told me nothing

  • Baku races are almost always exciting, dramatic and full of surprises. Such a great track and race. Baku 💖 never disappoints.

  • The tire failure is inexcusable. So dangerous...

  • I wish that every F1 Grand prix would be as exciting as Baku. Unlike last race Monaco.

  • The brake magic should be up,up,down, down, left, right, left, right,B,A,start!

  • 7:15 and following seconds you can see the Hamilton's finger push the "magic" bottom again when to move the car because Pérez its there! Why just block left tire? & why don't have any other curve problem with 90% brake balance on front? Because He laying. Take a look when star block the left tire its complete out of the place for braking!!! Dtart brake 20 mts long that Pérez, and perez said that he take all the longest time to brake, its why on tv Hamilton's car appears like Advancement to Perez.

  • Thanks Jolyon, if ain't were for you I wouldn't notice

  • Just feel like this he hit it by accident is BS. Would like to see them show the data that it was by accident vs an actual mistake of him leaving it on. Trying to keep up the “Lewis doesn’t make mistakes” rhetoric. He does, like all drivers, but by the luck of the gods usually doesn’t pay for it. Ie Imola, or every other race start in 2015 and 2016 where the Mercedes was just so much fast he could make up the places again

  • nice analysis coming from an amateur driver.

  • I was going through pains while I contracted HSV2 and then I came across how Dr IGUDIA on SLflow used his medication to cure the sick and I decided to contact him and he actually cured me

  • SOOO glad this happened to Hamilton, not because I don't like him, but because there is no way he deserved to win that race! Perez held him off practically 2/3 of the race. He (Perez) deserved that win. Side note: I really don't like those standing starts for this very reason. It eliminates all the work the lead driver was doing.

  • Lewis just didn't want the championship to end soon. So he pressed a magic season extender. 😎

  • Cmon I'm not a Lewis fan, more like Sébastien vettel fan, but this dude is a 7 times world champion, simple a beast, fast, aggressive, perfect Tyre control, but people are crucifying him just because he made a mistake.. That's ridiculous

  • Does Bottas have brake magic button?

  • "And for the second race in a row, Red Bull went longer, particularly with Pérez and Verstappen." So, there is a third Red Bull somewhere on track?

  • Mercedes needs a "Brake Magic" light to show it is activated.

  • People should be talking about the two high speed tire failures, that was really concerning.

  • He actually turn magic back on

  • Hamilton, a beautiful show on Broadway but a useless pilot! Ha!

  • No. Verstappen had the win in the bag. Unlike Hamilton, he didn’t make any mistake at all.

  • 90% brake bias under brake heating button is 15% higher than any other journo or pro has suggested? The brake heating button is up on the left, a red button about two down? Bottas has similar but tagged bh for brake heating. How can I know so much more than an ex pro driver being paid a fortune.

  • One puncture was rear left, the other rear right. Pirelli and teams both totally open about this on race day and since then. Come on Jolyon, does noone check this nonsense. I'd get the facts right for half the cash you're paying him and you could have my wheelchair to add to f1 diversity!

  • No, he did not have the win in the bag at all

  • Checo's pressure, thats it

  • Even without the magic button he would have never made that corner. He's lucky the Mercedes didn't end up in pieces. Anyway things like this happens. He took a dip and it didn't pay off. That's it end of story

  • Wow so many people want to undermine lewis. Yes he made a mistake but it's not solely his mistake too. It's also a design error or also it can be just a programmable mistake. I mean have you guys never ever done any mistakes. Mind you in that moment every driver and every single one of the team is under pressure. Which sometime heightens the chance of making a mistake.

  • What Caused Hamilton's Baku Run Off? Hamilton.

  • Como fue, Checo sacó del carril y de concentración a Hamilton. Salud. "Magic boton" mmm... 🙄🤔🥱

  • As an airline pilot I am surprised. All our switches are placed in a way to not be hit by accident or they are annulled in certain flight regimes. I am surprised how, “1965”, this magic button is.

  • Since when did anyone believe anything a team says; especially when it comes to mistakes? No one trusts the FIA either because they too continue to operate behind closed doors. Its just as bad as all the other "news" sources.

  • I wish these Brits would learn to speak understandable English before they want to be an announcer!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mr. Palmer ,how do i send you Amazon gift certificates so you can purchase a comb?already sent some to PM Borris Johnson

  • Too many buttons! 🤦🏻‍♂️

  • Bottas' fault. He should've been 2nd on the grid not allowed to challenge Hamilton. If Bottas was second he would've stopped in the middle of the road like a South Acrican taxi and allowed Sir Hamilton to go through with no one else allowed to challenge Sir Hamilton

  • The brilliance of Lewis Hamilton

  • Where is the front of the steering wheel camera view? :P

  • Finally Mercedes misses their usual luck...

  • Is the Magic on? No Lewis, you will not have the brakes.

  • You all might call me a conspiracy theorist, but i think Hamilton took one for the F1, Pirelli for this "brake problem" Think of if hamilton had won this race by the restart, the amount of backlash F1, Pirelli, will get......

  • Hamilton isn't all that. Its simply the car that has given him wins and championships. Anywhere other than pole and leading and he's got nothing.

  • Jolyon looks like he just walked from the bar.

  • Amazing analysis as always Jolyon Palmer 🤙🏽

  • Max and Honda should have won, so justice works at least occasionally

  • lololololllloooool Hamilton

  • So beautiful to see. Hope it happens more this season.

  • wow

  • ggwp

  • Answer: His over-inflated ego.

  • What happened to those LH haters who said F1 is corrupted and they favour Lewis? All gone now?

  • just want to add, the extra temperature causes massive oxidation on the brake rotors which increases how much they grab. Compounded by the forward bias, the temperature and grippy brakes caused the lockup

  • Kind of surprising they have no indicator light for the magic button status, given it wasn't a first.

  • Interesting, how both races Perez won, the magic button had something to do in that MERC performance.

  • The answer is clear, Hamilton made a mistake!

  • Lewis's weird hand position cost him an easy *podium* , easy *world title* but not so easy *world record* . I love this sport, one millisecond your okay the next you are in deep trouble.

  • So Lewis's brakes were pretty much like Palmer's hair... LOL. Palmer analysis is still my favorite and most anticipated thing from this F1 media era.

  • I don't understand why this guy is an analyst. He never tells us anything we don't already know.

  • "the magic" illustrates exactly what makes constructors series better than spec.

  • 2:41 "my brakes are on fire Brad!" "drive quickly to put them out"

  • Toto, “Bottas is responsible, he touched Lewis’ magic button”

    • ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • Stop the drivers from cheating and forcing other drivers off, unless clear of them. This was caused by Perez. Really pleased he won, but the fact is that he almost caused a crash. Max does this all the time!

  • This mistake kept Max in reach of the champion LH cause if Lewis had got that 25 points that would have been it for Max so am sorry guys Max was praying 🙏🏿

  • karma

  • Can any of the Teams legally sue the tyre manufacturer for their losses? A loss of a WIN on F1 would be worth many millions I would have thought..... And can Jolyon Palmer please find his razor blade and comb? 🤔 He looks a TOTAL MESS - like Verstappen's car.

  • Jolyan looks like he come in from felling trees 🌳 all day in the sun. I like Jolyan and tree felling and f1. Great!

  • “Red Bull went longer especially with Perez and Verstappen” Jolyon Palmer

  • もし右裏なら4:52で何らかの行動をしたかも右手指が動いています

  • That's for all the kids out there, who dream of locking up... - Hamilton 2021

  • rookie mistake

  • Zajednooo smo kao dzin i limunada

  • So he started making mistakes because he have pressure from max

  • Remember Mercedes and people say back at spain that red bull and verstappen must not make any mistake in order to challenge Mercedes for looks of it now the tables have turn verstappen and red bull not making any mistake after the last 2 street grand prix and verstappen dnf was due to a tyre failure not fault at his own when leading and Hamilton magic button along pressure to win for himself and the team aswell from Perez made had a mistake

  • Although Joylon Never impressed me in F1 his Post Race Take & General F1 Insight I Really Value & Appreciate.

  • so unusual from sir Lewis to error like that

  • Jolyn says Hamilton was super cautious for the rest of that lap after he recovers because he was concerned about his brakes but apparently he knew he had pushed the button, no? His team didn't tell him from the telemetry? Hamilton didn't realise it was handling as if the magic was on? Simply a mistake from Hamilton I'd say, something Toto Wolff had trouble saying in his post-race interview. I don't know who is fooling who here but I smell some BS somewhere... Again

  • Hamilton is making more mistakes now than ever before at Mercedes. He is feeling the pressure of Verstappen. It's going to be an interesting season finally.

  • Checo made Hamilton to make mistake

  • Jolyon you said in the video that it is unusual for Lewis to have his left hand on top of the steering wheel at the restart. in fact he has it there quite often on standing starts. cheers

  • best segment on this channel

  • Gutted for Lewis.. We know he will back much stronger!!!

    • Actually I'm glad this happened to Hamilton, not because I don't like him, but because there is no way he deserved to win that race just because he got ahead in a standing start! Perez held him off practically 2/3 of the race. He (Perez) deserved that win. That would have been so unfair to Perez to have MB/Hamilton win in a drag race, at the very end.

  • Bottas

  • He and his team are liars. He failed because he pushed too hard. Because he knew that he can not overtake Perez if he didn't do that at start.

  • UI / UX failure. It's what happens when you let an engineer do a designers job 😉

  • Hamilton always keeps his left hand hanging on the steering wheel on race starts, albeit he's only been doing this since around Monza 2019. No one else does the same.

  • Forget the magic button! Perez pushed Hamilton against the left wall and he was not able to take the turn, that's all!

  • Palmer looks like he just got out of bed lol

  • Of course, Perez didn´t want that Hamilton applies "The Pressed Corner" Trick to him. Seems like Hamilton expected a passive non-reaction. Regarding this channel, I barely watch it because "The Cult to the Person" over Palmer (Two cameras for his person, and a special take of his hands), Narcissism all around, even when his looks (as other commentators pointed), are of a person who just came from an all-night drinking party.

  • Are they allowed to use voice commands? It would save them from having hundreds of buttons on the steering wheel!

  • at last a subject Palmer can talk about from an actual position of knowledge.... spinning off
